Reducing The Greenhouse Effect

"EPA and India's largest oil producer last week signed an agreement to work together to reduce emissions of methane, a potent greenhouse gas. The Oil and Natural Gas Corp. Ltd. (ONGC), headquartered in Dehradun, has joined seven other large oil and natural gas companies as a partner in EPA's Natural Gas STAR International Program. This program, implemented in support of the Methane to Markets Partnership, aims to identify and implement projects in the oil and natural gas sector that cost-effectively reduce methane emissions and deliver more gas to markets around the world." |Read more|

The Simplicities of Global Warming

"One way or another, our assaults against global warming are likely to be symbolic, ineffective or both. But if we succeed in cutting emissions substantially, savings would probably be offset by gains in China and elsewhere. The McKinsey Global Institute projects that from 2003 to 2020, the number of vehicles in China will rise from 26 million to 120 million, average residential floor space will increase 50 percent and energy demand will grow 4.4 percent annually. Even with "best practices" energy efficiency, demand would still grow 2.8 percent a year, McKinsey estimates."

I wonder if Stan "Pampy" Barre will be as bold as Tyler Perry's character "Madea" when he goes to the Federal Pen. His fellow federal prisoners better watch out: He will probably rat you out to the federal guards in order to get an extra "dessert". Bon voyage, Stan "Pampy" Barre. Let's see who you will try to influence in the federal pen, because after all; a leopard doesn't change his stripes.

New Orleans Councilman, Oliver Thomas Convicted Of Bribery

Councilman Thomas accepted bribe from corrupt businessman, Stan "Pampy" Barre'

"According to documents filed in federal court, Oliver Thomas in 2002
met with Stanford Barre, who enlisted Thomas to assist him in maintaining a
parking contract Barre had with the French Market Corporation (FMC), City
of New Orleans. Barre was concerned that the newly elected mayor would
replace his company and thereby contract with another company. Barre
believed that based upon Thomas's position on the New Orleans City Council
and the FMC Board, he could delay, at least temporarily, the termination of
Barre's parking contract." |Read more|

Councilman Oliver Thomas Pleads Guilty To Accepting Bribes

Today, Councilman Oliver Thomas pleaded guilty to taking bribes from Stan "Pampy" Barre. During his tearful admission, he apologized to the City of New Orleans for his actions. Boo Hew Hew! Oliver Thomas. It is too bad you are not familiar with the old saying: "He who lay down with dogs, get up with fleas".

You chose to lay down with that number one dog Stan "Pampy" Barre. To you former Mayor Marc Morial; are you on pins and needles right now? Bad boy, bad boy, what are you going to do if the feds come after you? You know that "yellow belly" Stan "Pampy"
Barre is spilling his guts with the hope that he does not spend too many of his golden years in Federal Prison. After all, who is left to make his "Swamp Tasting Gumbo"? Since he is such a lowlife thief, I wouldn't be surprise if one of his main ingredients, in his gumbo, was alligator piss he stole out of the bayou.

Councilman Oliver Thomas - Another Corrupt Individual

Later on today, we will learn more about the charges that Councilman Oliver Thomas is facing. He always held himself out to be such an ethical man. I guess we can't believe what he says since his actions have given us a gigantic leap into his character.

Thank You, U.S. Attorney Jim Letten

U.S. Attorney, Jim Letten, is doing a splendid job of weeding out corruption in the City of New Orleans. I would like to thank him for doing such a wonderful job. It speaks well of his character. I wish him all of the best and I hope he is able to bring all of the corrupt individuals to justice. Thank you, Jim Letten.

Leonardo's 11th. Hour Trailer for Documentary

If the 11Th. Hour documentary does not encourage people to take global warming seriously, then I don't know what will. There are a lot of little things, we all can do, to help reduce our carbon imprints.

Stan "Pampy" Barre Failed To Consider What His Actions Would Cost The Citizens Of New Orleans

Its too bad that Stan "Pampy" Barre did not consider the effects of global warming, on the City of New Orleans, before he looted Johnson Controls' Energy Savings Contract.

Perhaps he should stick to what he knows best: making potato salad and creole gumbo. Maybe Mr. Barre will be able to put his culinary skills to good use in federal prison. Some of his critics, however, do not find his food that great. Oh well, perhaps he can take a cooking class or two in the federal pen.
